- Adjective - Describes the noun and usually comes after the noun in French.
- Adverb - Describes a verb (-ly at the end)
- Preposition - Tells you where something is (on/in/out)
- Conjunction- Joining words like "and"
- Interrogative - Question words like who/why/how...
